IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO.2022-126 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH LAZ PARKING FOR PARKING ENFORCEMENT SERVICES THROUGH JUNE 30, 2025 FOR A TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $1,281,343.00 WHEREAS, on April 1, 2019, the City Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a three year agreement for $729,999.00 between the City of San Leandro and SP Plus, for the provision of parking enforcement services, which expired June 30, 2022; and WHEREAS, on April 6, 2022, the City released Solicitation No. 59502 seeking proposals for parking enforcement services; and WHEREAS, the City received three responsive proposals and recommends LAZ Parking, in part because of their expansive network of enforcement professionals located in and operating throughout the East Bay; and WHEREAS, the maximum amount of compensation of this agreement is $1,281,343.00 wherein Fiscal Year 2022-2023 costs will be $444,343.00 to include start-up costs, and Fiscal Years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 will cost $418,500 respectively; and WHEREAS, a corresponding appropriation for this proposed agreement is already incorporated into the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 budget with future annual costs to be incorporated into the next biennial budget cycle for Council consideration; and WHEREAS, LAZ Parking has agreed to the terms of the contract pending Council approval; and WHEREAS the City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreement; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council hereby RESOLVES as follows: That said agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized.
