Historian <br />Admin Staff <br />Judd <br />Maley <br />Stock <br />Pebin <br />TASK 1 Project Initiation <br />Review . nB bocumentation, <br />Review the background macenals from previous evaluations, and existing <br />policies to become familiar with historic resources. <br />TASK 2 Initial Windshield Survey <br />Prepare for and meet with Commission and Staff to become familiar with <br />background documents, project history, and relevant codes and <br />regulations. Conduct a preliminary windshield survey of existing historic <br />resources and neighborhoods to develop a draft list of initial resources <br />and neighborhoods to be studied and documented at the Intensive level. <br />Tour San Leandro with city staff, commission members, and historical <br />society members. <br />TASK 3 Develop list of Building and Neighborhoods <br />Based on Input from the Commission, Staff, and the Public as well as the <br />information collected in the field, develop detailed list of resources and <br />neighborhoods to be studied at Intensive level. Work with City Staff to <br />map both individual buildings and neighborhoods. (Assumes City will <br />provide a base map and parcel information). <br />TASK 4 Public Workshop <br />Prepare for and participate in a public workshop about historic <br />preservation, review existing policies, receive public input, discuss <br />preservation policies from other communities, discuss historic resources in <br />San Leandro. Present basic findings of windshield survey to assist the <br />public In understanding the types of resources present. <br />TASK 5 Develop Historic Contexts <br />60 <br />.. ..__ <br />.�_.0 <br />Based on discussions with Staff, Commission, and the Community, <br />conduct field work and research at local historical societies and libraries <br />draft historic contexts for review by staff and commission. <br />TASK 6 Complete Draft State DPR Forms <br />Perform research on Individual properties and neighborhoods in order to <br />complete the significance statement for the survey forms. <br />Develop building and neighborhood descriptions for the first page of the <br />survey forms. <br />Based on field wodr and research conducted on Individual properties and <br />neighborhoods develop draft survey forms.
