w <br />IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO.2002 -168 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPROPRIATION OF <br />GUN TAX REVENUE TO SUPPORT THE <br />CHILD ABUSE LISTENING, INTERVIEWING, <br />AND COORDINATION (CALICO) CENTER <br />(Provides for a One -Time Appropriation in the Amount of $10,000 <br />to be Funded Through Gun Tax Revenue) <br />Cost: $10,000 <br />(2200/2603) <br />WHEREAS, the San Leandro Police Department supports the work of the Child Abuse <br />Listening, Interviewing, and Coordination (CALICO) Center in meeting the needs of abused <br />children in our community; and <br />WHEREAS, the San Leandro Police Department desires to continue its partnership with <br />CALICO Center; and <br />WHEREAS, the San Leandro Police Department finds the services provided by CALICO <br />Center an integral part of the successful investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases; and <br />WHEREAS, the revenue from gun taxes is intended for use in anti -violence programs; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That a one-time appropriation in the amount of $10,000 be approved to the Child Abuse <br />Listening, Interviewing, and Coordination Center and funded through gun tax revenue. <br />Introduced by Council Member Loeffler and passed and adopted this 9th day of <br />December, 2002 by the following called vote: <br />
