Hayward: <br />The Hayward Chamber of Commerce is very challenged right now. The Redevelopment <br />Agency provides the Downtown Business Improvement Area (DBIA) with $55,000 a <br />year. The DBIA brings in another approximately $50k in property tax revenue. The <br />DBIA has a variety of contracts with the Chamber: <br />• $22,500 for four street parties <br />• $7,500 Coordination fee for Christmas event <br />• $6,400 for assisting for DBIA newsletter <br />• $10,000 for Downtown promotions <br />Total $46,400 <br />Alameda: <br />City support has varied over the years, primarily through shared workshops, however due to <br />the financial needs of the Chamber in 2009 the City provided them with a one-time payment <br />of $40,000. <br />• No support FY 2010-11 <br />• No support budgeted FY 2011-12 <br />Fremont: <br />The City of Fremont supports the Chamber of Commerce with in -kind sponsorship of the Art <br />and Wine Festival. <br />G:\OBD\Files EDA\Chamber of Commerce\ChamberSupportbyCity.docx <br />
