SAN LEANDRO ADMINISTRATIVE CODE <br />TITLE 23 SENIOR COMMISSION <br />Chapter 1 Rules of Operation Procedure <br />ARTICLE 2—OFFICERS <br />423.1.200: C • The presiding officer of the Commission shall be the <br />Chairpersen who shall be elected at the first regular meeting in Oeteber July of <br />every year. The Chairpersen shall preserve order and decorum at al} regular and special meetings <br />of the Commission; shall state each question, shall announce the decisions and shall decide all <br />questions of order subject to an appeal to the Commission; shall vote on all questions; shall <br />appoint all committees: and shall generally perform the duties of a presiding officer the <br />Qiair-persen's name being eafled last. No per -son shall sefve more tha34 two (2) sueesessive fid! <br />423.1.205: VICE CH . The Vice Chairpersen of the Commission shall be <br />elected anauaUy at the first regular meeting in Oeteber J� of every year. The Vice Chairpersen <br />shall preside in the absence of the Chairpersen or upon the request of the Ch ' , <br />presiding . In the event the Chairpersen shall arrive <br />Vi late, the Vice Chairpersen shall relinquish the chair upon conclusion of the item <br />of business then pending before the Commission. <br />423.1.210: CHAIR PRO TEM . In the event of the <br />absence of the Chairpersen and Vice Chairpersen or their inability to act, the Commissioners <br />present shall elect from their membership a Chairpersea Pro Tern to serve during such temporary <br />absence. Upon the arrival of the Chairpersen or Vice Chairpersen, the Chairpersen Pro Tern shall <br />relinquish the chair upon conclusion of the item of business then pending before the Commission. <br />$23.1.21 S: LIMIT OF TERM. No member of the Commission shall serve more than two (2) <br />successive full terms of one (I) year as Chair or Vice Chair of the Commission provided that this <br />limitation may be waived upon a finding of good cause by an affirmative vote of a majority of the <br />members of the Commission. <br />423.1.220: SECRETARY. The Seer-etar-y of the Cenmiissiea shall be the Senior- SeFi4ees <br />Geefdinater- of the City ef San Leandro. The Secretary of the Commission, appointed by the <br />Recreation and Human Services Director shall ee keep all minutes aFe taken and prepared, <br />shall prepare and distribute the agenda and: shall furnish all members of the Commission with a <br />copy of the agenda, plus copies of all correspondence and other papers relating to items appearing <br />on the agenda: and shall follow all legal noticing requirements.
