NOTE 2:- The title to said premises was, on August 2, 1867, vested <br />in George 71. Harlan. On said date G. +. Harlan, a married man, caused <br />to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County <br />in Liber "B" of Homesteads, page 138, a Declaration of Homestead on <br />this and other property. <br />The title of the above named vestee was derived, by mesne conveyance, <br />from said George 17. Harlan, described as "widower". Nothing appears of <br />record, however, terminating the homestead interest of the wife of said <br />George 71. Harlan. <br />DESCRIPTION. <br />All that lot of land situated in the Town of San Leandro, County of <br />Alameda, State of California, bounded and described as follows, to-:rit: - <br />Beginning at a point on the South 71estern line of East 14th Street <br />(formerly called County Road from Oakland to San Leandro), as the same <br />originally existed, at the most Eastern corner of that certain 23.93 <br />acre tract conveyed by Vim. P. Toler and wife to Elizabetli Linfoot, by <br />deed dated December 23, 1859 and recorded in Liber "I" of Deeds, at page <br />759; and running thence South Easterly along said line of East 14th <br />Street 1.24 chains; thence at right angles South Zlesterly nineteen (19) <br />feet; thence at right angles North 'lesterly 1.24 chains; thence at <br />right angles North Easterly nineteen (19) feet to the point of beginning. <br />
