D E E D <br />I, the undersigned EUGENIA da GLORIA SANTOS, a widow, of the <br />City of San Leandro, County of Alameda. State of California, do <br />hereby grant unto CITY OF SAN LEANDRO, a municipal corporation, <br />a perpetual easement and right of way over, upon, through and <br />along the following described real property in the City of San <br />Leandro, County of Alameda, State of California, to -wit: - <br />BEGINNING at the intersection of the Northerly line <br />of Peralta Avenue, in said City of San Leandro, with the <br />Northeasterly line of the right of way belonging to the <br />Southern Pacific Railroad Company, and running thence <br />along the Northeasterly line of said right of way, North <br />42' 43' West, 339.50 feet to its intersection with the <br />Easterly boundary line of the land now or formerly owned <br />by the Estate of Eleanor J. Haney, deceased; thence <br />along said boundary line North 8° 55' East 25.50 feet; <br />thence South 42° 43' Last 382.80 feet to the Northerly <br />line of Peralta Avenue, and thence along the said line of <br />Peralta Avenue North 78° 46' Nest 34 feet to the place of <br />beginning. <br />For the purpose of laying, constructing, maintaining and operat- <br />ing a sewer, together with the necessary :nan-holes and flush - <br />tanks, together with the right to enter upon said right of way at <br />all reasonable times for the necessary management and repair of <br />said sewer. <br />Provided, however, that this Deed is made and accepted upon <br />the express condition that the grantor hereby reserves to her- <br />self, her heirs and assigns, the right to connect with said <br />sewer hereafter to be constructed on said right of way, any <br />dwelling house hereafter erected on the land of the grantor <br />abutting on said right of way and hereinafter described, without <br />the payment of any charge therefor. <br />The land of the grantor abutting on said right of way and <br />hereinbefore referred to is situate in the City of San Leandro, <br />County of Alameda, State of California, and described as follows, <br />to -wit: - <br />BEGINNING on the west boundary line of the tract of <br />land containing sixteen and 12/100 acres, conveyed by <br />John Dabner and wife to Joseph King by Deed dated January <br />59 1855, and recorded in the office of the County Re- <br />corder of the County of Alameda in Book S of Deeds, page <br />27, and where said line is intersected by the Northeaster- <br />ly line of the Central Pacific Railroad Company's right <br />of way; thence along said line of said tract North 8 1/2° <br />East eight and 35/100 chains; thence South 81 1/2° East <br />six and 90/100 chains to the Westerly line of a road <br />twenty feet wide; thence along said road South 8 1/2° <br />West eleven and 85/100 chains to the Southerly boundary <br />of said tract; thence North 79 1/2' West two and 50/100 <br />chains to said line of said right of way; thence along <br />said last mentioned line North 42 3/4° West five and <br />60/100 chains to the place of beginning. <br />-1- <br />
