Property at 260 West Juana Avemie. <br />1 <br />Extract from Minutes of Apr. 23, 1956.. <br />2 <br />"The recommendation of the Planning Commission for approval_ of rezoning <br />3 <br />request of Garvco, Inc., to reclassify from R-3 to C-1 the property at 260 <br />West Juana Ave. was read. Councilman Kant moved to seta public hearing on <br />4 <br />the rezoning for 8:15 P.M. on May 7, 1956, seconded by Councilman Gill and <br />carried." <br />5 <br />"The recommendation from the Planning Commission for approval of <br />6 <br />variance application of Garvco, Inc. to permit reduced side and rear yards at <br />260 West Juana Ave. was read. Councilman Kant moved to refer the recommendation <br />7 <br />back to the Planning Commission for clarification of condition No. 1 covering <br />additionalparking; the reply to be received for the meeting of May 7 1956. <br />8 <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman K•Ta.ltester and carried." <br />9 <br />Pxtract from Mirrites of May 7 1956: <br />10 <br />"This being the time and place for the hcarinr� on the reclassification <br />Tl <br />of the property at 260 West Juana Ave. from h-3 to C-1. Councilman Belliri. <br />moved to n hole the recommendation of the Planning Commission and to an rove the <br />12 <br />rezoning of the property; the motion was seconded by Councilman Maltester and <br />carried. In connection with this rezoning, the recommendation of the Planri-rig <br />13 <br />Commission for a variance was considered, Mr. Simonian, representing the <br />Garvco Inc. addressed the Council on the matter. A five-minute recess was <br />14 <br />declared and when the Council reconvened, the letter from Garvco, Inc. of <br />April 6 1956, in regard to the parking lot was read; 4so the original recommen- <br />15 <br />dation of the Planning ^ommi.Gsion ot: April 20, 1956, in regard to the rezoning and <br />the variance and their letter of May 1956, in regard to providing 8 permanent <br />16 <br />parking spaces were read and discussed. Councilman Bellini moved to grant the <br />variance to apply to Sections 3.44 a and b that no side or rear yard <br />17 <br />would be required providing eight permanent parking spaces were provided on the <br />adjacent property.
