1525 East Fourteenth Street <br />San Leandro, California <br />April 62 1956 <br />To the Honorable <br />The City Council of the <br />City of San Leandro, California <br />Gentlemen: <br />An Agreement was executed April 4, 1956 between San Leandro <br />Merchants Association, a corporation) Pelton Shopping Center <br />Association, a corporation, and Garvco, Incorporated, a corpor— <br />ation, which owns certain property adjacent to the Southwesterly <br />boundary line of the leased parking lot located at Washington <br />Avenue and West Juana Avenue, upon which it proposes to erect <br />buildings for lease to retail establishments and desires to insure <br />adequate off street parking therefor. It was mutually agreed: <br />That during the term of the sublease or any extension thereof of <br />the premises located at Washington Avenue and West Juana Avenue, <br />free ingress and egress for foot traffic to and from the leased <br />premises and Garvco's property adjacent will be permitted provided <br />Garvco and/or its tenants pay their proportionate share of the <br />obligations under the lease. Also, that should San Leandro i✓erchants <br />Association and Felton Shopping Center Association fail to exercise <br />their option of renewal under such lease, their right, title and <br />interest shall be granted to Garvco, Incorporated in order that <br />Garvco, Incorporated may renew such lease. <br />The executors of the Estate of Christine Best, Deceased, Lessor in <br />the original lease, have consented to all the terms of the above <br />described agreement and agreed to the assignment of option to renew <br />rights. <br />Copy of said Agreement has been filed with the City Manager's office <br />for the City of San Leandro. <br />yours very truly, <br />GARVCO, INCORPORATED <br />/, -I , <br />z� <br />Harlow E.
