IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4668 C.M.S. <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF REAL PROPERTY <br />TO THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />LEANDRO, A PUBLIC CORPORATION, AND PRESCRIBING <br />THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS THEREOF <br />Recitals <br />1. Part 1 of Division 24 of the Health and Safety Code of the <br />State of California, the Community Development Law, gives to a redevelop- <br />ment agency within a municipality the right and power to acquire, within <br />a redevelopment project area, property of a public body devoted to a pub- <br />lic use, provided that the consent of the public body is obtained. <br />2. The Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro, a public <br />corporation, has signified a desire to acquire that certain real property <br />owned by the City of San Leandro, a municipal corporation, located within <br />the Downtown Plaza Project Area and devoted to a public use; to wit: a <br />public parking lot, said real property being described as follows: <br />ALL of Lots "All and "B", the northwestern 25 feet of Lot "C", <br />the northwestern 125 feet of Lot "H", the northeastern 7 <br />feet of Lots "I" and "J". and the northeastern 7 feet of the <br />northwestern 25 feet of Lot "K", said Lots being in Block <br />4, as said Lots and Block are shown on that certain Map <br />entitled, "Map of the Town of San Leandro, County Seat of <br />Alameda County, Surveyed For The Proprietors, February <br />1855, by H. A. Higley, County Surveyor," filed February <br />27, 1855 in Book of Maps No. 1 at page 19, Records of <br />Alameda County, California. <br />3. The Downtown Plaza Project is a redevelopment project of vital <br />importance to the City of San Leandro. <br />4. The acquisition of said property by the Redevelopment Agency is <br />essential to the success of the said redevelopment project. <br />5. The acquisition by the Redevelopment Agency of said property will <br />be of mutual benefit to both the Redevelopment Agency and the City <br />AT 37488 <br />
