r <br />IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4689 C.M.S. <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING OFFER FOR ASSIGNMENT OF OPTION <br />RECITALS <br />Forward San Leandro, Inc., presently holds an option for pur- <br />chase of property owned by Lawrence F. Gouveia and .Julia Gouveia, <br />commonly known and designated as 1478 Hays Street, San Leandro, <br />California. <br />Acquisition of said real property by the City of San Leandro is <br />essential to the success of the Downtown Plaza Redevelopment Project. <br />Forward San Leandro, Inc., has indicated a willingness to assign <br />said option for purchase of the said real property to the City of San <br />Leandro for the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000). <br />Acceptance of this proposed assignment for the sum indicated is <br />in the best interests of the Downtown Plaza Redevelopment Project <br />and the best interests of the citizens of the City of San Leandro. <br />Now, therefore, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does <br />RESOLVE as follows: <br />That this City Council hereby accepts the proposal of Forward <br />San Leandro, Inc., for assignment of said option to purchase real <br />property, and agrees to pay the sum of $1,000 in consideration for <br />said assignment; and be it further <br />RESOLVED, that the administrative staff of the City of San <br />Leandro is hereby directed to take all necessary steps and prepare <br />all necessary documents to effectuate this assignment. <br />Introduced by Councilman Taylor and passed and <br />adopted this oth day of November 1961, by the following <br />called vote: <br />Ayes; Councilmen: Cheatham, Kant, Suerstedt ,7 <br />Sirift, Taylor, Gill ( 6 <br />Noes: Councilmen: None ( 0 ) <br />?� <br />Absent: Councilmen: Maltester 1 ) <br />Attest: _!
