Wherever possible, City staff directly transports vessels to the local transfer station for demolition rather than hiring a contractor to remove, demolish and dispose of them. Although the City currently doesn't have any staff that have more than 2 years' experience managing the SAVE Program, there is staff that has experience managing other state grants that have not failed in following expenditure terms. City staff looks forward to working with State personnel to meet the terms of the SAVE22 grant and collaborating to remove vessels that pose a danger to the environment and local waterways. 25.Does your agency have additional funding sources (other than SAVE) for disposal of abandoned vessels in the event you run out of grant funding or are not awarded the full grant request? The vessel is not in seaworthy condition and the family had no interest in keeping it.
