It was returned to me with a form letter noting several <br />reasons why you were unable to record it. (A copy of this letter is <br />attached.) I have noted on the deed that no documentary transfer tax <br />is due, and this should take care of the initial three problems. <br />According to §27383 of the California Government Code, "No fee <br />shall be charged by the recorder for services rendered to the State, <br />to any municipality, county in the State or other political <br />subdivision thereof, except for making a copy of a paper or record." <br />We, the City of San Leandro, are requesting the recording of this <br />document, and therefore, no fee should be charged.
