A G R E E M E N T <br />This agreement is entered -into between the CITY OF SAN LEANDRO, a munici- <br />pal corporation, hereinafter called City, and BLANCHE C. TORNQUIST, a widow, and <br />MAXINE C. TORNQUIST, a single person, as joint tenants, hereinafter called Owners. <br />Recitals <br />Owners hold fee title to certain real property fronting on Lewelling Boule- <br />vard in the City of San Leandro. Frontage improvements (curb, gutter, sidewalk and <br />two [2] concrete driveways) have not been installed in front of said property. <br />City proposes to widen and improve Lewelling Boulevard in front of said <br />property. It is to the benefit of the parties hereto that said widening and improve- <br />ments be accomplished as hereinafter set forth. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br />1. Owners shall grant to City that portion of their property <br />necessary for widening Lewelling Boulevard, an area of one <br />thousand two hundred seventy-five (1,275) square feet, more <br />or less. The value of the property to be granted is esti- <br />mated to be Three Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-five Dollars <br />($3,825). <br />2. City shall do all the work necessary to widen and improve <br />Lewelling Boulevard in front of Owners' property and to re- <br />store Owners' property, as nearly as possible, to its former <br />condition. Said work shall include: <br />(a) reseeding of lawn area removed at a slope to <br />conform to the new improvements; <br />(b) replacement, in the reseeded lawn area, of <br />one (1) flowering crab apple tree, one (1) <br />magnolia tree and one (1) bottlebrush shrub; <br />(c) construction of frontage improvements; <br />(d) installation of four (4) inches of aggregate <br />subbase to conform two (2) existing aggregate <br />driveways to the new concrete driveways. <br />
