I will keep you posted.
From: Kay, Jeff
Sent: Wednesday, November 03, 2010 11:18 AM
To: Chiu, Vivian
Subject: FW: 1040 Davis Property Tax Issue
Vivian,
Please see below. This property is now privately owned and paying taxes, but they have been notified that delinquent
taxes are due for FY93-94, when the RDA owned the parcel. Do you know how we go about getting that amount
canceled?
Thanks,
Jeff
From: Claire Koenig [mailto:ClaireCamcnely.coml
Sent: Tuesday, November 02, 2010 4:35 PM
To: Kay, Jeff
Subject: 1040 Davis Property Tax Issue
Hi Jay,
Thanks for calling today. Attached is the tax bill. It references Parcel No. 75-148-7-1 with the address 1040 Davis
Street. After a few phone calls with the county, they informed me that the delinquency is on Parcel No. 75-148-8-2 for
1052 Davis Street. The tax year is 1993-94. Apparently this parcel was owned by the SLRDA.
(Shortly before we purchased the property in 2004, the City transferred one parcel from City to RDA, to combine the
parcels for sale.)
If it helps, I spoke with someone named Miss Hernandez in the Assessor's office at 272-3842. She referred me to the
Clerk's office at 272-6352. (That may have been Julie Minarco? - I wrote that name down but am not sure who that was.)
I was told that San Leandro should contact Donna Brown at the Board of Supervisors.
