<br /> <br />1 <br />BUDGET NARRATIVE and REVIEW NARRATIVE <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY AND NINE ALAMEDA COUNTY CITIES <br /> <br /> <br />The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office is utilizing 10% of allowable Byrne Justice <br />Assistance Grant (JAG) Local administrative funds to support and implement the FY2022 <br />program. All agency heads agreed upon the amount of administrative funds for the <br />Alameda County Consortium of Cities and the County of Alameda through a unanimous <br />acceptance at the July 9, 2022, Alameda County Chiefs of Police and Sheriff’s <br />Association (ACCOPSA) meeting, and an amendment to the existing Memorandum of <br />Understanding (MOU) agreeing to the distribution, and fiscal responsibilities of each <br />participating agency signed by the highest-ranking authorities of each participating <br />agency. The allocations for each city were based upon the recommendation of U.S. <br />Department of Justice (USDOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Bureau of Justice <br />Assistance (BJA), minus the 10% administrative funds collected by the Alameda County <br />Sheriff’s Office as the administrator and fiscal agent of the grant. The Consortium was <br />successful in unanimously agreeing on a funding plan for FY2022. The FY2022 Byrne <br />JAG Local share allotment proposed budget numbers for each Alameda County municipal <br />agency are listed below. <br /> <br />The full October 1, 2021, to September 30, 2025 project period budget for the Alameda <br />County Consortium is detailed elsewhere below for your information.
