`1
T
CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT
ON
VACATION OF WEST ESTUDILLO AVENUE
BETWEEN WASHINGTON AVENUE AND HAYS STREET
To : The Honorable City Council
1. The following plat and description are incorporated as part of this report:
Drawing 792, Case 1602
Description No. LD 79-14
2. The affected street is shown on the Map of the Town of San Leandro as a por-
tion of "Ward Street", and was recorded by Order of the Board of Supervisors
on June 14, 1870, in Book of Maps No. 1, at page 79, Alameda County Records.
3. The subject abandonment will not deprive property owners access to a public
street.
4. The serving utilities were notified of the proposed abandonment by letter
dated June 22, 1979. The City Council adopted the Resolution of Intention,
Resolution 79-151, on June 18, 1979.
5. This proposed abandonment is proposed by the Redevelopment Agency of the
City of San Leandro as a portion of its plan for redevelopment of the blocks
adjacent to the north and south side of West Estudillo Avenue.
6. I recommend that an easement for sanitary sewer purposes be reserved. This
easement shall be a strip of land 15 feet wide, the center of which shall
be along the centerline of West Estudillo Avenue.
The City Engineer finds that this portion of the street, described in LD 79-14
and shown on the attached drawing, is not necessary for use as a public street
and recommends that the City Council proceed with the proposed abandonment.
P. H. LONG
CITY ENGINEER
Dated : O'ZS ? 9 By
Cur ucK
Assistant Public Works Director
