a224 <br />TITLE V STREETS AND PARKS <br />Chapter aol Street and Easement Abandonment <br />Section 5-ao1-100o The City Council may vacate any street or part <br />of any street in the City of San Leandro in the manner provided in this <br />Chapter, <br />Section 5-a.1-1017 The City Council may vacate any public ease- <br />ment or part thereof in the City of San Leandro in the manner provided <br />in this Chapter•. <br />Section 5-ao1-102; The election of the City Council to proceed <br />under the provisions of this Chapter shall be expressed in its resolu- <br />tion of intention toorder any vacation. <br />Section 5-ao1-103o One or more streets or parts of streets or one <br />or more easements or parts of easements, whether contiguous or not, may <br />be included and vacated in the same proceeding. <br />Section 5-ao1-104> Resolution of Intention. Before the vacation <br />of any street or part thereof or the vacation of any easement or part <br />thereof is ordered, the City Council shall pass a resolution of inten- <br />tion declaring its intention to do so, referring to the street or part <br />thereof by its official name. If the vacation is of an easement then <br />the resolution of intention shall briefly describe the easement which <br />it is proposed to vacate. The resolution of intention shall refer to <br />a map on file in the office of the City Clerk for particulars as to the <br />proposed vacation. <br />The resolution of intention shall contain also a notice of the day, <br />time, and place when and where any and all persons having any objections <br />to the proposed vacation may appear before the City Council and show <br />cause why the proposed vacation should not be ordered. The time shall <br />not be less than fifteen nor more than sixty days from the date of the <br />passage of the resolution. <br />The City Clerk shall cause the resolution of intention to be pub- <br />lished once. Such publication shall be made not less than ten days <br />prior to the date of public hearing stated in said resolution. <br />
