r 1% <br />1007 <br />IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />ORDINANCE NO. 76 - 22 <br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF JEFFERSON STREET <br />Recitals <br />The Ciry Council of the City of San Leandro on May 24, 1976, passed its <br />Resolution of Intention No. 76-118 to vacate a portion of Jefferson Street, a pub- <br />lic street in the City of San Leandro, as hereinafter described. <br />A public hearing was set for June 7, 1976, at which time any person ob- <br />jecting to such vacation was given the opportunity to appear and show cause why <br />such vacation should not be ordered, and notice of such meeting was duly published <br />and posted. <br />Such hearing was held by the City Council on June 7, 1976, and the City <br />Council at the time of such hearing determined that said portion of Jefferson Street <br />was unnecessary for present or prospective public use. <br />follows: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does ORDAIN as <br />Section 1. That,\portion of Jefferson Street located within the City of <br />San Leandro, Alameda County, California, is unnecessary for present or prospective <br />public use and said portion of Jefferson Street is hereby vacated and abandoned. <br />Said portion of Alvarado Street is described as follows: <br />All that real property in the City of San Leandro, County of <br />Alameda, State of California, being a portion of Jefferson. <br />Street, formerly Sybil Street, described as follows: <br />That portion of Jefferson Street, formerly Sybil Street, lying <br />northerly of the north line of Chumalia Street, as shown on the <br />"Map of East San Leandro," filed February 20, 1871, in Book 2 <br />of daps at page 24, Records of Alameda County; <br />reserving and excepting therefrom an easement and right in and for the benefit of <br />the Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, at any time, and <br />from time to time, to enter upon and to construct, maintain, operate, replace, re- <br />move and renew storm drains and appurtenant structures in, upon, over and across <br />that portion of said street described as follows: <br />
