STEPHEN M. CHANDLER
LELAND W. BRUNER
ANTHONY A. BLUNDEN
PHILIP N. LYONS
LAW OFFICES OF
CHANDLER, BRUNER & BLUNDEN
PROFESSIONAL CORPORATION
220 JUANA AVENUE
SAN LEANDRO, CALIFORNIA 94577
(41S) 4133-1444
February 14, 1972
The City Council
City of San Leandro
835 E. 14th Street
San Leandro, California 94577
Gentlemen:
A. W. BRUNER (1901-1962)
RECEIVED
CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
FEB 15 1972
RICHARD H. WEST
CITY CLERK
This office represents Mr. and Mrs. John Pestana who own
a parcel of property which abuts the end of 135th Avenue
at the intersection of Rose Drive. There is a small
parcel of property which is located within the inter-
section and which was originally conveyed to the City
and which would have provided the start of an extension
of 135th Avenue. However, it is our understanding that
the City does not have any plans to extend 135th Avenue
so that the small parcel of property is of no particular
use to any one. The property is designated as Areas A,
B, and C, as shown on the map attached to this letter.
It is our clients' request that the City undergo an aban-
donment of this property so that the abutting owners can
acquire title to it. Mr. and Mrs. Pestana have entered
into an agreement with adjoining property owners, Mr. and
Mrs. Eva and Mr. and Mrs. Sargent, whereby and if the
City does abandon the property, the area indicated as B
will belong to Mr. and Mrs. Eva, the area indicated as A
to Mr. and Mrs. Sargent, and the area indicated as C to
Mr. and Mrs. Pestana. We hereby request that the City
initiate the abandonment procedures.
We will be happy to discuss this with the City Council
or with members of your staff if you -desire us to do so.
/J
Very -truly yours,
C.HA_NDLER , BRUiTER & BLUNDEN
SMC •bcs Stepen AZ.
