1007 <br />IN TEE CITY COUNCIL OF TKE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />ORDINANCE NO. 71 - 30 <br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF ALVARADO STREET <br />Recitals <br />The City Council of the City of San Leandro on October 4, 1971, passed <br />its Resolution of Intention No. 71-200 to vacate a portion of Alvarado Street <br />(a public street in the City of San Leandro) as hereinafter described. <br />A public hearing was set for October 26, 1971, at which time any person <br />objecting to such vacation was given the opportunity to appear and show cause <br />why such vacation should not be ordered. and notice of such hearing was duly <br />published and posted. <br />Such hearing was held by the City Council on October 26, 1971, and the <br />City Council at the time of such hearing determined that said portion of <br />Alvarado Street was unnecessary for present or prospective public use. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of can Leandro does ORDAIN <br />as follows: <br />Section 1. That a portion of Alvarado Street located within the City <br />of San Leandro, Alameda County, California, is unnecessary for present or <br />prospective public use and said portion of Alvarado Street is hereby vacated <br />and abandoned, reserving and excepting therefrom, until such time as all <br />utilities are relocated outside the area proposed to be vacated, easements <br />and rights of way to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew <br />and enlarge sanitary sewers, storm drains and public utility services now <br />existing in said area; including all necessary and convenient appurtenant <br />structures and incidental purposes thereto, including access: said portion <br />of Alvarado Street is more particularly described as follows:. <br />That portion of Alvarado Street lying northerly of the north- <br />west line of Davis Street and lying southerly of a line drawn <br />parallel with and 150 feet southerly at right angles from the <br />southeast line of Antonio Street as said streets are shown on <br />the map of the 'Town of San Leandro, County Seat of Alameda <br />County , filed February 27; 1355, in Loot: 2 of Maps at Page 43, <br />Alameda County Records. <br />The above -described parcel contains 52,722 square feet; more <br />or less. <br />- 1 - <br />
