IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />ORDINANCE NO. 70 N.S. <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING ANNEXATION OF SAN LEANDRO <br />INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT, UNIT NO. 79 <br />(Auto & Truck Forwarding, Inc.) <br />Whereas, the City Council of the City of San Leandro on September 29, <br />1958, in response to the written petition of Auto & Truck Forwarding, Inc., <br />a corporation, said Corporation being the owner of all of the territory pro- <br />posed to be annexed, passed its Resolution No. 3755 C.M.S. and thereby duly <br />and regularly initiated proceedings to annex the hereinafter described ter- <br />ritory; and <br />Whereas, prior to the filing of the above mentioned petition, the pro- <br />posal for the annexation of the hereinafter described real property to the <br />City of San Leandro was submitted to and reported upon to the proponents <br />thereof by the Alameda County Boundary Commission of the State of California, <br />with respect to the matters provided by law therefor; and <br />Whereas, said resolution specifically described the boundaries of the <br />territory so proposed to be annexed to this City; designated such territory <br />by an appropriate identification; contained a notice of the place, hour, <br />and day, not less than fifteen nor more than sixty days thereafter, when <br />and where any person owning real property within such territory so proposed <br />to be annexed and having objections to the proposed annexation might appear <br />before this Council and show cause why such territory should not be so an- <br />nexed; declared that such proceedings were initiated in response to a <br />written petition therefor signed by the owners of said territory, represent- <br />ing all of the assessed value thereof; and <br />Whereas, the City Clerk of this City duly caused a copy of said resolu- <br />tion to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in a <br />newspaper of general circulation published in the City, to wit: In The <br />Morning News on October 3 and 10, 1958, and also in a newspaper of general <br />circulation published outside of the City, but in the County in which is <br />located the territory proposed to be annexed, to wit: In the Inter -City <br />Express on October 3 and 10, 1958, each of which aforesaid publications <br />
