Carden <br />City Attorney <br />San Leandro, California <br />Dear Mr. Carden: <br />UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT <br />ADM IN I STRATIVE O F F I C E <br />451 WEST JOAQUIN AVENUE SAN LEANDRO, CALIFORNIA <br />November 9, 1959 <br />At the regular meeting held Tuesday, November 3, 1959, the Board of <br />Education agreed to <br />1) the proposed change in the school district boundaries in the <br />vicinity of 98th Avenue and the San Leandro Creek, as proposed <br />in a letter, dated October 23, 1959, from the Attorneys at Law, <br />Wagener, Brailsford, Jewett & Lynch; and <br />2) the City of San Leandro including this annexation and detach- <br />ment of said parcels of land in the resolution to be adopted <br />by the City of San Leandro, all in accordance with Title V, <br />Education Code Section 1722B. <br />The agreed exchange of parcels of land is as follows: <br />1) Description of the property (1.8 Acres, more or less) to be <br />detached from the San Leandro Unified School District and to <br />become a part of the Oakland Unified School District, reads <br />as follows: <br />COMMENCE at the intersection of the southeastern line of 98th, <br />formerly Jones, Avenue,with the southwestern line of the land <br />shown on the map of "Tract 669, Oakland, Alameda County, <br />California", filed October 25, 1943 in book 8 of Maps at pages <br />64 and 65 in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County; <br />run thence along said line of 98th Avenue, south 620 15' 40" west <br />400 feet to the northeastern line of the 20 acre tract of land <br />firstly described in the deed by C. R. Adams and Anna G. Adams, <br />to Lucky Stores, Inc_., dated October 30, 1947, recorded November <br />1411 1947, in book 5313 of Official Records of Alameda C-)unty at <br />page 253; thence along the ast named line and along the direct <br />extension thereof, south 60014' 20" east 956.17 feet to the <br />actual point of beginning of this description; running thence <br />south 290 45' 40" west 60 feet; thence north 600 14' 20" west <br />95.25 feet; thence south 290 45' 40" west 353 feet; thence north <br />60° 14' 20" west 300 feet, more or less, to the northern boundary <br />of the City of San Leandro as established by Ordinance No. 723 <br />
