IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. `'l- 71 C.M.S. <br />RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO THE DETACHMENT <br />OF CERTAIN TERRITORY FROM THE CITY OF <br />SAN LEANDRO AND CONSENTING TO THE ANNEXATION <br />THEREOF TO THE CITY OF OAKLAND <br />Whereas, certain real property owned by Bigge Drayage Co., and <br />Morris Draying Company in the vicinity of the boundary line between the <br />City of San Leandro and the City of Oakland, near 98th Avenue, lies partly <br />within each of said cities; and <br />Whereas, the aforesaid cities' boundary line through said property <br />and the boundaries of said property are not fixed with absolute certainty, <br />but the same shall be located with certainty by the detachment and annexation <br />proposed hereby; and <br />Whereas, it is in the best interests of said cities and of said <br />property owners that said boundaries be fixed and certain; and <br />Whereas, the written consent of at least two-thirds (2/3) of the <br />freeholders within said territory, holding at least two-thirds (2/3) in <br />value of the real property in said territory has been received; <br />Now, therefore, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does <br />RESOLVE as follows: <br />That the Council of the City of San Leandro hereby consents to the <br />detachment from the City of San Leandro of so much of the above -referred to <br />real property as is particularly described hereinafter, pursuant to Section <br />35304 of the Government Code of the State of California, so that the same may <br />be annexed to the City of Oakland. <br />Said parcel of real property so to be detached from the City of San <br />Leandro is specifically described as follows: <br />COMMENCE at the intersection of the southeastern line of <br />98th, formerly Jones, Avenue, with the southwestern line <br />of the land shown on the map of "Tract 669, Oakland, Alameda <br />
