C.M.S. <br />RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF COPY OF <br />NOTICE OF iNTEN TION TO CIRCULATE PETITION FOR <br />THE ANNEXATION OF CHABOT AREA AND AN AFFIDAVIT <br />OF PUBLICATION THEREOF; XID APPROVING THE CIR- <br />CULATION OF THE PETITION <br />Whereas, on June 4, 1957, there was filed with the City Clerk of the <br />City of San Leandro a copy of Notice of Intention to Circulate Petition Re- <br />lating to Annexation of Certain Territory to the City of San Leandro Under <br />the Annexation Act of 1913 pertaining to territory designated as Chabot Area <br />accompanied by a. written Statement containing reasons for the petition, to- <br />gether with an affidavit of publication of said Notice and Statement, which <br />A',ot.ce and Statement were published and advertised in accordance with law on <br />rune 3, 1957 in The Morning News, a newspaper of general circulation published <br />daily, and the official newspaper of the City of San Leandro; and <br />Whereas, the Annexation Act of 1913 provides that the legislative body <br />may adopt a resolution acknowledging receipt of the Notice and approving the <br />circulation of the petitions <br />Now, therefore, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE <br />as follows-. <br />That the receipt of the Notice., Statement, and affidavit aforesaid be and <br />the game hereby is acknowledged, and that approval be and it hereby is given <br />for the circulation of the petition for annexation of that certain territory <br />designated as Chabot Area within the times and in the manner provided by law <br />therefor. <br />Introduced by Councilman <br />and passed and <br />a dop ted this loth day of June, ,957., by the following called vote-. <br />Ayes-.
