EDEN ROAD ANNEXATION <br />JULY 18, 1963 - Joint night meeting of Oakland and San Leandro City <br />Councils at Edgewater Inn. <br />The matter of an adjustment in boundaries between San Leandro and <br />Oakland was discussed and the question of de -annexation and annexa- <br />tion of various parcels was considered. <br />It was decided to proceed with de -annexing a parcel of approximately <br />13 acres located in the area of the Oakland Municipal Golf Course <br />from San Leandro and proceed with the subsequent annexation of this <br />territory to Oakland. <br />it was also decided to proceed with the de -annexation from Oakland <br />of the Eden Road properties and the Holmes property and to annex <br />these properties to the City of San Leandro. <br />In addition it was decided to draw up necessary maps and legal <br />descriptions to adjust the boundaries between the Cities of Oakland <br />and San Leandro on MacArthur Blvd. so that there would be only one <br />crossing of a boundary line between the two cities on this street. <br />Tiie process of de -annexation and annexation will be initiated upon <br />completion of the necessary plats andiegal descriptions. <br />General discussion was had in regard to the question of a possible <br />de -annexation of Sheffield Village from Oakland and annexation of <br />the territory to the City of San Leandro. This question was <br />referred to the administrative staffs for study. <br />The Oakland City Council is to take the initial steps at their <br />meeting of August 6, 1963, and the San Leandro City Council should <br />be prepared to move on the first necessary steps In regard to <br />Eden Road properties and the Holmes property at its meeting of <br />August 12, 1963. <br />Glenn A.
