IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80 - 223 1095 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING DIVISION OF PROCEEDS OF TAXES <br />FOR PURPOSES OF COMPLETING AN ISLAND ANNEXATION - <br />AREA I, DAVIS STREET WEST <br />Section 99 of the Revenue and Taxation Code (Assembly Bill 8) provides, <br />among other things, that no local agency jurisdictional change can be completed <br />without the agencies affected by such change first having agreed upon an <br />exchange of property tax revenue between and among the affected agencies. <br />The Alameda County Mayors' Conference, the City of San Leandro <br />(Resolution No. 80-50, attached as Exhibit A) and the Alameda County Board <br />of Supervisors (Resolution No. 186574) have agreed to a method for equitably <br />distributing the property taxes, and because each specific annexation needs <br />a resolution from both the City and County agreeing to the exchange of pro- <br />perty tax revenues for the annexation to be completed and filed with the State. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE <br />as follows: <br />That for the annexation of Area I, Davis Street West, by the City of <br />San Leandro, which will be first effective for the fiscal year following the <br />filing of the Certificate of Completion with the State Board of Equalization <br />providing the filing occurs prior to December 31 of the preceding year, the <br />Auditor -Controller of the County of Alameda shall be directed to cause an <br />exchange of property tax revenues pursuant to the provisions of paragraph <br />numbers 1 and 3 of the attached City/County agreement. <br />And that the exchange of special district property taxes is limited <br />to the special districts in Exhibit B. <br />
