any person owning real property within the boundaries of the hereinafter de- <br />scribed territory so proposed to be annexed and having any objections to the <br />proposed annexation may appear before this City Council and show cause why <br />such territory should not be annexed; <br />That at any time not later than the hour set for hearing objections to the <br />proposed annexation, any owner of property within the territory proposed to <br />be annexed may file written protest against the proposed annexation. Such <br />protest shall state the name of the owner of the property affected thereby <br />and the description and area of such property in general terms; <br />That the territory herein referred to is uninhabited and is contiguous <br />to the present boundary line of the City; <br />That the boundaries of the territory hereinabove proposed to be annexed <br />are specifically described as all that land situated in the Township of Eden, <br />Alameda County, California, bounded as follows: <br />Beginning at a point on the northwestern line of Davis <br />Street at the most southern corner of the territory <br />annexed to the City of San Leandro by Ordinance No. 879 <br />N.S. as shown on the map filed December 19, 1952 in Book <br />32 of Maps, page 82, Alameda County Records, and running <br />thence along the City of San Leandro boundary line north <br />13° west (the bearing of said boundary line being taken <br />as north 13° west for the purpose of making this description) <br />348.05 feet, and continuing along said boundary line south <br />78° 151 west 138.62 feet, south 05° 091 16" west 166.45 <br />feet, and south 02*03' 36" west 19.25 feet to an inter- <br />section thereof with the eastern line of the Southern <br />Pacific Railroad Company right-of-way; thence leaving said <br />City of San Leandro boundary line along said eastern line <br />south 13° 021 32" east 200.03 feet, more or less, to an <br />intersection thereof with the aforesaid northwestern line <br />of Davis Street, said northwestern line of Davis Street <br />being also the northwestern boundary of the territory <br />annexed to the City of San Leandro by Ordinance No. 862 N.S., <br />as shown on the map filed February 18, 1952, in Book 32 of <br />Maps, page 48, Alameda County Records; thence along said <br />northwestern boundary line north 69° 301 east 197 feet, more <br />or less, to the point of beginning. <br />That the City Clerk of the City of San Leandro is hereby directed to <br />cause a copy of this Resolution to be published at least once a week for two <br />successive weeks prior to said 13th day of July, 1959, in "The Morning News," <br />a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of San Leandro, <br />- 2 - <br />
