City Council <br />City Hall <br />San Leandro, California <br />Gentlemen <br />You have asked for a report <br />known as Davis Street Extension. <br />County of Alameda "for the uses <br />ways <br />January 3, 1956 <br />on the title to Gold Road sometimes <br />This property was deeded to the <br />and the purposes of a public high - <br />San Leandro succeeded to the interest of Alameda County by <br />annexation of this Street, <br />The fee to the property, subject to the highway easement, is <br />in Annie H. and Andrew L, Darbee <br />Apparently, this property was not deeded to San Leandro in the <br />exchange of properties between the City and the Port of Oakland in <br />the recent transfer. If it was not, and if we make the swap of <br />properties which is presently under discussion, it should be included <br />in such swap. In view of the complications created by the condemna- <br />tion of this property by the Port of Oakland "for public purposes' <br />and the transfer of the Portps interest to San Leandro, I would <br />recommend against the abandonment of the public highway easement <br />therein. <br />Very truly yours, <br />I <br />Arthur M.
