Foam 19-D <br />BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS <br />CITY OF OAKLAND <br />RESOLUTION NO. ! 4W <br />MOLUTION PLTITIOXI G =ice CITZ <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LLE- <br />Ai DRO TO CONSEaiT TO THE DETACB• <br />HENT OF CF.:RBA1N LAND FROM THE <br />CITY OF SAA LEANDRO FOR ANNEXATiM <br />TO THE CITY OF OAKLAND* <br />WHEREAS, the CITY OF OAKLAND, a municipal <br />corporation, acting by and through its Board. of Port <br />Commissioners, acquired the hereinafter described <br />real property by a certain Agreement and Conveyance <br />dated October 209 1947, and eves since has been and <br />now is the fee title owner thereof; and <br />WHR',';.;ASs said real property is situate in <br />the City of San Leandro but is surrounded by lands <br />within the City of Oaklnnd \and is isolated from the <br />City of San Leandro by Doolittle Drive; a-nd <br />WFiKcIAS, the annexation of said real property <br />to the City of Oakland would be in the public interest, <br />would be,conducive to its proper development and im- <br />provernent as part o' the area surrounding it which <br />is owned by and is within the City of Oakland, and <br />would result in uniform application and exercise of <br />municipal authority in the area; and <br />HER>~AS, there is no freeholder within the <br />hereinafter described territory which is now situate <br />within the boundaries of the City of Son Leandro <br />other than the Board of Fort Commissioners of the <br />City of Oakland; now, therefore, be it <br />:RESOLVED that the Board of Port Commissioners <br />of the city of Oakland, holder of at least two-thirds <br />In value of the real property, to -kit, owner in fee <br />title to the whole thereof, in the territory herein- <br />after described, pursuant to the provisions of Section <br />35304 of the Government :ode of the State of California, <br />hereby coasents to the detachment of said territory <br />from the City of San Leandro, arid requests the City <br />t:ouncil of the City of pan Leandro to consent to such <br />detachment, by resolution, so that the same may be <br />annexed to the City of Oakland. <br />Said territory is more particularly described <br />an all that real property situate, lying and being <br />
