I feel strongly that the <br />2 City of San Leandro should take no further action on the annexation and deannexation beyond <br />3 the securing of the signatures to the attached petitions until the City of Oakland indicates <br />4 that it is aqreeable to proceed. <br />5 We have prepared a resolution consenting to the detachment from the City of San Leandro <br />6 of the Port of Oakland properties, but this petition will not be presented to the Council for <br />7 action until such time as a similar petition is acted upon by the City of Oakland regarding <br />8 the Eden Road oroaerties. <br />9 <br />1 am informed by the City Manager's <br />office that the agreement as <br />to the dumping of <br />10 <br />garbage should be final within the next <br />few weeks.
