CITY OF OAKLAND <br />OFFICE OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />503 City Hall <br />14th and Washington Streets <br />Oakland 12, California. <br />October 4, 1963 <br />Honorable City Council <br />Oakland, California <br />Re: ANNEXATION AND DE -ANNEXATION <br />OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES BETWEEN <br />THE CITIES OF SAN LEANDRO AND <br />OAKLAND, AND THE DEVELOPMENT <br />OF GOLF CO,iRSE SITE ON PORT <br />PROPERTY ADJACENT TO SAN LEANDRO. <br />Gentlemen: <br />This report is submitted to inform you of the <br />steps that have been taken in the above entitled matter <br />and to apprize you of the current status of the pro- <br />ceedings. <br />There are three principal parcels of land <br />involved: <br />1. Parcel One - approximately 13 acres owned <br />by the Port of Oakland now in the City of San Leandro, <br />which will be "de -annexed" by San Leandro and will be <br />annexed by the City of Oakland. <br />2. Parcel Two - approximately 7 acres in <br />private ownership now in the City of Oa kland,which the <br />City of Oakland will "de -annex" and San Leandro will <br />annex, <br />3. Parcel Three - Port owned property adjacent <br />to the airport now being used as a garbage dump area by <br />San Leandro under agreement with the Port, which will be <br />developed as part of the proposed golf course. <br />The following action has been taken with regard <br />to this matter. <br />1. Legal descriptions of the several areas <br />have been prepared by engineers, have been submitted to <br />each of the parties concerned and have been approved. <br />
