The matter is again in abeyance until the principals get together and negotiate <br />3 out their differences. <br />4 it appears to Goggin and me that each party has changed its position recently. <br />5 Oakland is requesting San Leandro to negotiate with the Scavenger Company for a right to <br />6 dump on Scavenger property while San Leandro is asking that we not only be given a dump site <br />7 without cost but we also be provided with free disposal of garbage and rubbish after it is <br />9 it has always been my understanding that Oakland would provide, without cost to us, <br />10 a site for the disposal of the amount of unused cubic yards we have at the present site <br />11 without putting us to a greater cost than we now have - for instance, a longer haul to the <br />12 dump site At no time have we- ever discussed or even considered the matter that Oakland <br />13 would cover the garbage after we had put it in place, nor had we ever considered that we <br />14 would have to negotiate with anybody in order to procure an alternate site. <br />15 <br />Arthur M.
