<br />RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF
<br />PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF SAN
<br />LEANDRO INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT
<br />UNIT NO. S6 (Eden Road Properties).
<br />In the City Council of the City of San
<br />Leandro.
<br />Whereas, this City Council has re-
<br />ceived the written petition containing
<br />a description of the hereinafter de-
<br />scribed territory by which it is sought
<br />to annex such territory to this city,
<br />which petition is signed by the owners
<br />of not less than one-fourth of the land
<br />in the territory by area, and of not less
<br />than one-fourth of the assessed value
<br />as shown on the last equalized assess-
<br />ment roll of the county in which the
<br />territory Is situated; and
<br />Whereas,, prior to the filing of the
<br />above mentioned petition, the proposal
<br />for the annexation of the hereinafter
<br />described real property to the City of
<br />San Leandro was submitted to and re-
<br />ported upon to the proponents thereof
<br />by the Alameda County Boundary Com-
<br />mission of the State of California, with
<br />respect to the definiteness and certainty
<br />of the proposed boundaries, the non-
<br />conformance of proposed boundaries
<br />with lines of assessment or ownership,
<br />the creation of islands or corridors of
<br />unincorporated territory and other sim-
<br />ilar matters affecting the proposed
<br />boundaries; and
<br />Whereas, it appears to this Council
<br />that it would be to the advantage of
<br />this City that said territory be annexed;
<br />and
<br />Whereas, said territory is uninhab-
<br />ited:
<br />Now, therefore, the City Council of
<br />the City of San Leandro does resolve
<br />as follows:
<br />That notice is hereby given that it
<br />Is proposed to annex to the City of San
<br />Leandro the hereinafter described prop-
<br />erty which may be and is hereby desig-
<br />nated for identification as the "San
<br />Leandro Industrial District, Unit No. 86
<br />(Eden Road Properties)";
<br />That notice is hereby further given
<br />that at 8:15 o'clock p.m., on May 4, 1964,
<br />Yin the Council Chambers of the City
<br />Hall, San Leandro, California, any per-
<br />son owning real property within the
<br />boundaries of the hereinafter described
<br />territory so proposed to be annexed and
<br />having any objections to the proposed
<br />annexation may appear before this
<br />City Council, and show cause why such
<br />territory should not be annexed;
<br />That at any time not later than the
<br />hour set for hearing objections to the
<br />proposed annexation, any owner of
<br />property within the territory proposed
<br />to be annexed may file written protest
<br />against the proposed annexation. Such
<br />protest shall state the name of the
<br />owner of the property affected thereby
<br />and the description and area of such
<br />property in general terms;
<br />That the territory herein referred to
<br />is uninhabited and is contiguous to the
<br />present boundary line of the City;
<br />That the boundaries of the territory
<br />---herein above proposed to be annexed
<br />are specifically described as all that
<br />land situated in the City of Oakland,
<br />County of Alameda, State of California,
<br />described as follows:
<br />Beginning at the most western corner
<br />of the territory annexed to the City of
<br />San Leandro by Ordinance No. 857 N.S.
<br />and as shown on the map filed January
<br />31, 1952, in Book 32 of Maps, page 43,
<br />Alameda County Records, said corner
<br />being on the southern boundary line of
<br />the City of Oakland established by Or-
<br />dinance No. 4550 C.M.S. as shown on the
<br />map filed August 9, 1955, in Book 32 of
<br />Maps, page 94AB, Alameda County Rec-
<br />ords; thence south 20° 47' east 94.30 feet
<br />along the southwestern line of the ter-
<br />ritory annexed to the City of San Lean-
<br />dro by said Ordinance No. 857, being the
<br />said City of Oakland boundary line, to
<br />the most western southwest corner of
<br />the last mentioned territory annexed
<br />to the City of San Leandro, being a

<br />along the last mentioned line, being the
<br />said City of Oakland boundary line, to
<br />the most southern corner of the parcel
<br />of land conveyed by Bob Fergerson and
<br />Sylva Fergerson, also known as Sylvia
<br />Fergerson, his wife, to Albert Zeitz, a
<br />single man, by deed dated April 26, 1a46,
<br />and recorded May 31, 1946, in Book 4921,
<br />of Official Records, page 48, Records of
<br />Alameda County; thence north 20° 47'
<br />west 368.95 feet along the southwestern
<br />line of the last mentioned parcel of
<br />land, being the northeastern line of the
<br />territory annexed to the City of San
<br />Leandro by Ordinance No. 763 N.S. and
<br />as shown on the snap filed August a2'
<br />1948, in Book 17 of Maps, pagell, Ala-
<br />meda County Records, being also the
<br />said southern boundary line of the City
<br />of Oakland, to the most western corner
<br />of the said Zeitz parcel, being on the
<br />southeastern line of a private road 50
<br />feet in width, known as Eden Road, and
<br />described in the last mentioned deed;
<br />thence continuing north 20° 47' west
<br />53.05 feet along the said northeastern
<br />line of the territory annexed to the
<br />City of San Leandro, being the said City
<br />of Oakland boundary line, to they north-
<br />western line of said Eden Road; thence
<br />north 49" 41' 40" east 15.56 feet along
<br />the said northwestern line of Eden Road
<br />to an angle point; thence north 69° 13'
<br />east 1168.17 feet along the said north-
<br />western line of Eden Road to the south-
<br />western line of Doolittle Drive, being
<br />the City of San Leandro boundary line
<br />established by Ordinance No. 860 N.S.
<br />as shown on the map filed January 31,
<br />1952, in Book 32 of Maps, page 46, Ala-
<br />meda County Records; being also the
<br />said City of Oakland boundary line;
<br />thence south 45° 22' east 54.98 feet
<br />along the last mentioned City of San
<br />Leandro boundary line, being also the
<br />said City of Oakland boundary line, to
<br />the point of intersection of the said
<br />southwestern line of Doolittle Drive
<br />with the southeastern line of said Eden
<br />Road; thence south 69° 13' west 397.22

<br />beginning.
<br />That the City Clerk of the City of
<br />San Leandro is hereby directed to cause
<br />a copy of this resolution to be pub-
<br />lished at least once a week for two suc-
<br />cessive weeks prior to said 4th day of
<br />May, 1964, in The Morning News. a
<br />newspaper of general circulation pub-
<br />lished in the City of San Leandro, Ala-
<br />meda County, California, in which is
<br />located the territory proposed to be
<br />annexed, and at least once a week for
<br />two successive weeks prior to said 4th
<br />day of May, 1964, in The Inter -City Ex-
<br />press, a newspaper of general circula-
<br />tion published outside the city but in
<br />the county in which is located the ter-
<br />ritory proposed to be annexed. Publi-
<br />cation shall be completed at least
<br />twenty (20) days prior to the date of
<br />hearing.
