CITY OF SAN LEANDRO ECT., AND <br />FIXING A TIME AND PLACE WHEN AND WHERE ANY PERSON OWNING REAL PFOPERTY <br />Ta11.71U.N SUCH TERRITORY MAY APPEAR BEFORE SAID CITY COUNCIL AND SHOW CAUSE <br />a�Dl SITC;H TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE SO ANNEXED (Mulford Gardens) <br />Whereas, on the 23d day of January, 1957, a petition signed by not less <br />than one-fourth in number of the qualified electors residing within the herein- <br />aft,e� described unincorporated territory, as shown by the registration of voters <br />of the county of Alameda, state of California, was filed with the City Clerk of <br />the City of San Leandro and received by the City Council of said City, requesting <br />that said unincorporated territory be annexed to the City of San Leandro° <br />'Notia, therefore, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows" <br />1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of San Leandro, <br />County of Alameda, State of California, to call a special election to be held on <br />the 14th day of May, 1957, in the inhabited territory hereinafter described and <br />propos(>d to be annexed to the City of San Leandro, for the purpose of submitting <br />to the ,ualified electors residing in said territory the question, whether or not <br />suci territory shall be annexed to, incorporated in, and made a part of the City <br />of San. Leandro, and the property in the territory subjected to taxation after an- <br />nexation equally with property within the City of San Leandro to pay the bonded <br />indebtedness of the City of San Leandro outstanding or authorized, at the date of <br />the filing of the petition for annexation, for the accpiisition, construction,or <br />completion of municipal improvements. <br />`1`hat said election will be called for the purpose of determining whether or <br />not there shall be annexed to the City of San Leandro that certain inhabited pro- <br />perty contiguous to the City of San Leandro, described in said petition, and des- <br />cribed as follows: <br />All that land situated and located in the township of Eden, county of Alameda, <br />state of California, and more particularly described as follows, to -wit- <br />
