w IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 66 - 148 RESOLUTION WITHDRAWING ANNEXED TERRITORY FROM ASriLAND COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT (Nimitz Freeway Annexation) Recitals By Resolution No. 65-120 adopted May 17, 1965, the City of San Leandro requested the hoard of Supervisors of Alameda County to annex to the City of San Leandro all unincorporated portions of the Nimitz Freeway bounded on both skies by the City of San Leandro, described in Exhibit A attached hereto and r;aOP a 4arL hereof by reference. By Resolution No. 65•-299, the City of San Leandro resolved that upon com- pletion of the Nimitz Freeway Annexation, this City Council would proceed under the provisions of Section 14540 of the Health and Safety Code to with- draw from the Ashland County Fire Protection District that portion of the annexed territory which is contained within said District, and that said with- drawal would be effective as soon as practicable thereafter. A certified copy of Resolution No. 115261, apprcvinq the annexation of s,iid territory to the City of San Leandro, adopted by the Alameda County Board of Supervisors on January 11, 1966, was filed with the Secretary of State on the 25th day of January, 1966, and the annexation of said territory was com- pleted on the latter da`e. Now, therefore, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That that certain territory annexed to the City of San Leandro by Reso- lutlon No. 115261 of the Board of Supervisors of Alameda County and more par- tic:rlar•ly described in .Exhibit A attached hereto, is hereby withdrawn from the Ashland County Fire Protection District, effective this date. introduced by COLncilman Fornares and passed and adopted this 5th day of .July, 1966, by the following called vote:
