These portions of highways
were taken over by the State of California from Alameda County when the
Nimitz Freeway was constructed, with the agreement that upon completion
of the work, the unneeded parts would be turned back to the County for
County maintenance and control. Since these portions of highways are
practically surrounded by the City of San Leandro, it is no longer prac-
tical to relinquish them to the County. The State of California desires
to relinquish these portions of highways to the City. The State has
assigned Relinquishment Number 22034 to said portions of highways. The
City of San Leandro desires to have such portions of highways annexed
to the City of San Leandro pursuant to provisions of Article 7, Division 2,
Title 4 of the Government Code (Section 35450 et seq.).
Now, therefore, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does
RESOLVE as follows:
That said City Council hereby requests the Board of Supervisors to
take all necessary, proper, or convenient steps to annex such portions
of highways to the City of Sar Leandro. Said portions of highways are
all that land in Eden Township, Alameda County, California, described as
follows:
PARCEL P
BEGINNING at a point on the City of San.
