IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />ORDINANCE NO. 975 N.S. <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING ANNEXATION OF PROPERTY OPPO- <br />SITE THE SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT (Unit No. 62) <br />Whereas, the City Council of the City of San Leandro on May 23, 1955, <br />on its own initiative passed Resolution No. 2652 C.M.S. and thereby duly <br />and regularly Initiated proceedings to annex the hereinafter described <br />territory; and <br />Whereas, prior to the passage of the above mentioned Resolution, the <br />proposal for the annexation of the hereinafter described real property to <br />the City of San Leandro was submitted to and reported upon to the proponents <br />thereof by the Boundaries Commission of the County of Alameda, State of <br />California, with respect to the definiteness and certainty of the proposed <br />boundaries; and <br />Whereas, said resolution specifically described the boundaries of the <br />territory so proposed to be annexed to this City; designated such territory <br />by an appropriate identification, contained a notice of the place, hour and <br />day, more than 15 and less than 40 days thereafter, when and where any person <br />owning real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed and <br />having objections to the proposed annexation might appear before this Council <br />and show cause why such territory should not be so annexed; declared that <br />such proceedings were initiated by this City Council on its own motion; and <br />Whereas, the City Clerk of this City duly caused a copy of said <br />resolution to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, <br />in a newspaper of general circulation published in the City, to -wit: in <br />The Morning News on May 28th and June 4th, 1955, and also in a newspaper of <br />general circulation published outside of the City but in the County in which <br />is located the territory proposed to be annexed, to -wit: in the Inter -City <br />Express, on May 31st and June 7th, 1955, each of which aforesaid publications <br />was completed at least twenty days prior to the date set for the hearings; <br />and <br />-1- <br />
