IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAU LEANDRO ORDINANCE NO. 1123 N.S. AN ORDINANCE APPROVING ANNEsXATION OF A PORTION OF EASTSHORE FREEWAY, UNIT NO. 77 Whereas, the City Council of the City of San Leandro on February 3, 1958, on its own initiative passed Resolution No. 3527 C.M.S. and thereby duly and regularly initiated proceedings to annex the hereinafter de- scribed territory; and Whereas, prior to the passage of the above mentioned Resolution, the proposal for the annexation of the hereinafter described real property to the City of San Leandro was submitted to and reported upon to the pro- ponents thereof by the Boundary Commission of Alameda County, State of California, with respect to the definiteness and certainty of the pro- posed boundaries; and Whereas, said Resolution specifically described the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to this City; designated such territory by an appropriate identification; contained a notice of the place, hour, and day, more than fifteen and less than forty days there- after, when and where any person owning real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed and having objections to the pro- posed annexation might appear before this Council and show cause why such territory should not be so annexed; declared that such proceedings were initiated by this City Council on its own motion; and Whereas, the City Clerk of this City duly caused a copy of said Resolution to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in a newspaper of general circulation published in the City, to wit: in The Morning News on February 7 and 14, 1958, and also in a newspaper of general circulation published outside of the City but in the County in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed, to wit: in the Inter -City Express, on February 7 and 14, 1958, each of which aforesaid publications was completed at least twenty days prior to the date set for the hearing; and - 1 -
