That this Council noes hereby declare that these annexation pro- ceedings have been initiated by it for the reasons set fortis in the preamble hereof. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to ca.u, e a copy of this resolution to be puulist:ed at least once a week for two successive weeks prior to the above mentioned hearing in the aan Leandro News observer, a newsi..aper of general circulation published in t�.iis city. That the boundaries of the territory hereinabove �roj.osed to be annexed are specifically described as follows: BEGL41,jING at the most southern corner of lot 216, as said lot is shown on that certain map entitled, "Tract 590, San Leandro, Alameda County, California," filed July 10, 1942 in Book 18 of liaps, page 100 in the office of the county Recorder of Alameda Countt; running; thence south 110 38' 25" east (the bearing south 11 381 25" east being assurned for the purpose of this description) along the direct production of the western line of said lot 216, a distance of 73.91 feet to a point on the southern ling of Davis .treet, 66 feet vaide; thence south 690 51' 35" west alone the said last mentioned line 786.72 feet, imore or less, until intersected by the direct production suutabrly of tic; western bounds„ line of that certain 10.72 acre tract of land firstly described in Deed of Gift from Alexander L. Crabb, a widower, to Irving Crabb, at al., dated November 28, 1939 and recorded December 2, 1939 in Libur 3850 of Official Records of Alareada County , page 184; thence north 120 08' 25" west along the line so produced and along the said western boundary line 1316.21 feet, more or less, to tiie northwestern corner of the said 10.72 acre parcel of land; thence north 780 211 35" east along the northern boundary line thereof and its production 790.00 feet, more or less to the western boundary line of said "Tract JvQ, man Leandro, Alameda County, California" and the western city boundary of San L�4ndro; thence along the IAst nAtcrud line south 110 381 25" east to the point of beginning.
