California. <br />Dear Mr. Wade: <br />In accordance with my telephone conversation <br />with you thic morning, I am enclosing herewith a <br />petition reque-eting that an election be called for <br />the pur• )ose of annexing to the City of San Leandro, <br />the district described in said Petition. This <br />?petition is bein;r forwarded to you for the purpose <br />of certifying to the sufficiency of the naiaes on <br />Page two of the petition, as to registration, and <br />whether or n)t they are qualified to sign a petition <br />for this purpose. <br />".'pith reference to the varifieation, if you. <br />determine that it is necessary before you certify <br />that the same should be varified by the circulators, <br />please advise me, and I shall make arranp..Pments to <br />have the party who circulated the petition cQL at <br />your office and varify the same. <br />I have been informed indirectly that there are <br />-.pprosimately tiwelve registered voters in the district <br />affected; however, I am not certain as to that. <br />Yours very truly, <br />E.
