<br />THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
<br />TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF
<br />SAN LEANDRO.
<br />WHEREAS, a special election
<br />was held and conducted on the
<br />17th day of August, 1939, for the
<br />purpose of annexing to and making
<br />a part of the City of San Leandro
<br />the hereinafter described property,
<br />and making such property, after
<br />annexation, subject to taxation
<br />equally with the property within
<br />the City of San Leandro, to pay
<br />that portion of the bonded indebt-
<br />edness of said City, outstanding at
<br />the date of annexation.
<br />Saia property so proposed to be
<br />annexed to the City of San Lean-
<br />uro by said election is described as
<br />follows, to -wit:
<br />BEGINNING at the point of in-
<br />tersection of the Southwestern line
<br />of Foothill Boulevard with the North•
<br />as said Estudillo Avenue and koot-
<br />hill Boulevard existed prior to the
<br />widening by the State Highway Com-
<br />mission as same now exists, said
<br />point of beginning bein the South-
<br />east corner of Lot 8, Bock A" as
<br />said Lot and Block are so shown on
<br />that certain filed map entitled
<br />"Estudillo Estates, San Leandro,
<br />Alameda County, California," etc..
<br />filed May 29. 1926 in Book 11 of Maps
<br />at Pages i6 and 77 in the office of
<br />the County Recorder of Alameda
<br />County, California and running
<br />thence Northeasterly across Foot-
<br />hill Boulevard, on a line of the North-
<br />western line of Estudillo Avenue
<br />produced Northeasterly to the point
<br />to intersection of the Northeastern
<br />line of Foothill Boulevard with the
<br />said Northwestern line of Estudillo
<br />Avenue, said point of intersection
<br />being the Northeastern corner of
<br />said streets as same existed before
<br />widening by the State Highway
<br />Commission for Foothill Boulevard
<br />as same now exists! thence North-
<br />easterly along the said Northwestern
<br />line of Estudillo Avenue to an angle
<br />point in said line of said Avenue,
<br />as same exists of record; thence
<br />Southeasterly and crossing said Estu-
<br />dillo Avenue to the angle point in
<br />said Avenue on the oppysite or
<br />Southeastern line of said Estudillo
<br />Avenue, the bearing of which said
<br />crossing is referred to as "South 30'
<br />57, 03" East". on that certain filed
<br />map entitled "TRACT 532 Alameda
<br />County, California", etc Filed June
<br />20. 1938 in Book 29 of Maps at
<br />Pages 12 and 13 in the office of the
<br />County Recorder of Alameda Coun-
<br />t,Y, California; thence Northeasterly
<br />along said Southeastern line of Estu-
<br />dillo Avenue, along the Northwest-
<br />ern boundary line of said "TRACT
<br />532," North 47° 14, 55" East (said
<br />bearing as shown on said filed map
<br />last referred to), 219.70 feet to the
<br />most Northern corner of Lot 8,
<br />ISlock 2, as said Lot and Block are
<br />shown on said map of "TRACT 532":
<br />thence Southeasterly and leaving
<br />said line of Estudillo Avenue and
<br />running along the Northeastern line
<br />of Lots 8 an10 of said Block 2 of

<br />to a point on the Northwestern line
<br />of Sandelin Avenue as said Avenue

<br />tance of 93.64 feet and tangent to the

<br />mentioned course, with a radius of
<br />22.73 feet, an arc distance of 19.7

<br />5 of Maps, at Page 32, Alameda
<br />County Records, said point being
<br />also on the Eastern Boundary line
<br />of the City of San Leandro, as same
<br />now exists: thence Northerly along
<br />said Eastern boundary line of San
<br />Leandro. said line being also the
<br />as same existed prior to widening:
<br />along the arc of a circle to the left,
<br />with a radius of 420.00 feet to the
<br />Northeastern corner of Lot 14. Block
<br />66 of said "Estudillo Tract": thence
<br />Northwesterly and crossing Estudillo
<br />Avenue, tangent to the last mention-
<br />ed course 66.00 feet to the point of
<br />beginning.
<br />BEING a Portion of Foothill Boule-
<br />vard. as the same formerly existed
<br />nrior to widening. a portion of Foot-
<br />hill Boulevard, after widening and
<br />as same now exists, a portion of
<br />Fstudillo Avenue, a Portion of San-
<br />(lelin Avenue and all of the Lot -
<br />Blocks and Streets as same are de-
<br />lineated and so designated upon if,-'
<br />certain filed map entitled "TRAC-
<br />532, Alameda County, California".

<br />office of the Countv Recorder of

<br />WHEREAS, said election was
<br />held in said territory proposed to
<br />be annexed in the manner and form
<br />as required by the general laws of
<br />the State of California. and
<br />WHEREAS, a majority of the
<br />persons voting on said proposed
<br />annexation voted in favor of said
<br />annexation.
<br />THEREFORE. the City Courell
<br />of the r`ity of San Leandro 1)1)
<br />ORDAIN•
<br />SECTION 1. That the annexation
<br />of the property herein above des-
<br />cribed and which was voted upon
<br />to be annexed to the City of San
<br />Leandro and made a part thereof
<br />and to he subject to taxation
<br />equally with the property within
<br />the City of San Leandro, to pay
<br />that portion of the bonded indebt-
<br />edness of said City to the date of
<br />said annexation, be and the same
<br />Is hereby approved and that said
<br />property shall from and after the
<br />date of filing in the office of the
<br />Secretary of the State of the docu-
<br />ment containing a copy of the rec-
<br />ord of the proceedings for the an-
<br />nexation of the above described
<br />property to the City of San Lean-
<br />dro, become and be a part of the
<br />City of San Leandro for all pur-
<br />poses and intent and such property
<br />shall be taxed to pay that portion
<br />of the bonded indebtedness of the
<br />City of San Leandro, equally with
<br />the property within the City of San
<br />Leandro as it existed prior to the
<br />filing of the petition for annex-
<br />ation.
<br />SECTION 2. That all of the pro-
<br />ceeding heretfore had in connect-
<br />ion with said annexation election,
<br />be and the same are hereby ap-
<br />proved.
<br />SECTION 3. That this Ordinance
<br />shall be, published by one insertion
<br />in the San Leandro News, a news-
<br />paper of general circulation, print -
<br />PA, published and circulated in the
<br />City of San Leandro and which is
<br />hereby designated for that pur-
<br />pose.

<br />and passed and adopted this 21st
<br />day of August, 1939, by the fol-
<br />lowing called vote:
