IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2022- RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO FILE THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING TRUST FUND REPORT FOR FY 2014-2022 WHEREAS, in 2004 the City of San Leandro amended the Zoning Code to add Chapter 6.04 (formerly Article 30) for various purposes; and WHEREAS, the City seeks to encourage the development and availability of housing affordable to a broad range of households with varying income levels as mandated by State Law, California Government Code 65580 et. seq.; and WHEREAS, the City seeks to promote the City’s goal to add affordable housing units to housing stock in proportion to the increase in new jobs and housing units; and WHEREAS, the City seeks to offset demand on housing that is created by new development and mitigate environmental and economic impacts of such development; and WHEREAS, the City seeks to increase the affordable housing stock in alignment with the City’s Housing Element goals; and WHEREAS, the City’s Inclusionary Housing Ordinance established the Affordable Housing Trust Fund (Section 6.04.156) that receives all fees contributed under Section 6.04.124 for those residential developments that are subject to an In-Lieu Fee; and WHEREAS, California Government Code 66006 mandates that the City issue a report on fees collected. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That the Affordable Housing Trust Fund Report for FY 2014-2022 is hereby approved, and that the City Manager is authorized to issue and file the report.
