Staff presentation: {MAYOR} City Manager Fran Robustelli will make an announcement first [CITY MANAGER] Yesterday November 20 was the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDR) and is commemorated on the third Sunday of November each year. World Day is a global event to remember the many millions who have been killed and seriously injured on the world’s roads and to acknowledge the suffering of all affected victims, families and communities. On World Day, we also pay tribute to the dedicated emergency crews, police, fire and medical professionals, who deal daily with the traumatic aftermath of road crashes. San Leandro has reinforced our commitment to protecting our road users by adopting Vision Zero as our traffic safety policy earlier this year and the 2022 Local Roadway Safety Plan last month. The Crosstown Corridor Study further explores safety improvements along our critical north-south corridor along Bancroft Avenue and east-west corridor along Williams Street.
