A G R E E M E N T <br />This agreement is entered into between the SAN LEANDRO UNIFIED SCHOOL <br />DISTRICT of Alameda County, State of California, hereinafter called District, <br />and the CITY OF SAN LEANDRO, a municipal corporation of the State of California, <br />hereinafter called City. <br />Recitals <br />District and City are authorized by Chapter 6 of Division 12 of the <br />Education Code of the State of California to organize, promote, and conduct <br />such programs of community recreation as will contribute to the attainment of <br />general educational and recreational objectives for children and adults of the <br />State, promote and preserve the health and general welfare, and cultivate the <br />development of good citizenship. <br />District and City are further authorized to enter into agreements <br />0 with each other and to do any and all things necessary or convenient to aid <br />and cooperate in carrying out the aforementioned purposes. <br />The cooperative maintenance and operation of Floresta Park adjacent <br />to Monroe School in the City of San Leandro as a park and playground will con- <br />tribute to accomplishment of the aforementioned purposes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br />1. The facilities of Floresta Park shall be available to the District <br />for education purposes during the school day and where there is not a conflict <br />with such school use, these facilities shall be available to the general public <br />for recreational use. <br />2. The City shall repair and replace worn or damaged apparatus, picnic <br />tables and benches, and barbecue braziers including concrete base pads and fir <br />bark; plant, trim and replace trees as required;. repair and replace worn or dam- <br />aged park signs and provide refuse receptacles and pick up refuse.
