U A G R E E M E N T <br />Recitals <br />District has entered into an agreement with the Oakland Unified School <br />District, denominated the Tri -School Project, whereunder pupils from Madison and <br />Sobrante Park Schools in Oakland and Cleveland School in San Leandro will undertake <br />a study and improvement of the ecology of. San Leandro Creek for the purpose of en- <br />vironmental protection. <br />District has requested, and the Human Resources Commission of City has <br />recommended, that City allocate up to Six Hundred Dollars ($600) to be used for <br />ordinary and necessary capital expenditures and ordinary necessary maintenance and <br />operating expenses of this environmental protection project. Both purposes con- <br />stitute priority expenditures as defined in the Revenue Sharing Law and will be <br />of benefit to City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto mutually agree as follows: <br />1. City shall pay to District, upon request by District, the sum <br />of Six Hundred Dollars ($600). <br />2. District shall: <br />A. Apply the funds received hereunder to the purposes of <br />the Tri -School Project encompassed within the defini- <br />tion of priority expenditures contained in Section 103 <br />of P.L. 92-512. <br />B. Retain and irrevocably dedicate any non -expendable <br />equipment acquired with said funds to purposes encom- <br />passed -within the definition of priority expenditures <br />contained in Section 103 of P.L. 92-512. <br />C,. Upon completion of the Tri -School Project, submit to <br />City a report setting forth the activities undertaken <br />and an accounting of the funds expended pursuant to <br />this agreement, and repay to City any part of the sum <br />paid hereunder by City not so expended.
