It is our understanding that EBDA is agreeable to allowing this water service connection. The
City is also amenable to reimbursing EBDA for water use should EBDA wish to bill the City in the future. As
part of our park project, the City will install an in-line water meter so the park's water use can. be monitored
directly.
The City's contractor will upgrade the facility's existing backflow assembly to current City standards and install a
shutoff valve to isolate the City's water lines from your facility's existing service. Per EBDA's request, the City
will also remove an existing eucalyptus tree just outside the southeastern fence corner and restring unfastened
barbed wire on the existing fence angle bents to deter the public from trespassing onto EBDA property. All
EBDA related work areas affected by the City's project shall be restored to equal or better conditions.
Construction is anticipated to start this June and last thru September 2011. The City will coordinate with EBDA
when the contractor's construction schedule is set.
This is a voluntary, non-binding agreement, which EBDA can terminate at any time. However, the City
respectfully requests a 90 -day advance notice of such action.
Please let me know if any of the above statements are incorrect or incomplete. If acceptable, please sign and
return this letter. Thanks again for your support of this project.
Sincerely,
1
Mark Goralka, Assobiate Engineer
Engineering-& Transportation Department
rhorg alkanasanleandro.org•
wwwsanleandro.ore F sae tFq;
Stephen H.
