IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2022- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO RECEIVE <br />THE ANNUAL RENT REVIEW ORDINANCE AND TENANT RELOCATION <br />ORDINANCE PROGRAM EVALUATIONS FOR JULY 2018 - JUNE 2022 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Rent Review Ordinance was adopted by City Council in 2001 and most <br />recently amended in 2016 with the goal of providing a public forum for both property <br />owners/managers and tenants to compromise on rent increases and building conditions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Tenant Relocation Assistance Ordinance was adopted by City Council <br />in 2017 to mitigate the impacts of displacement from “landlord-caused” terminations of tenancy <br />or by a rent increase of greater that 12% within a 12-month period; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Housing Division seeks to present summary data on the call <br />volume and depth of services callers seek with regard to securing healthy and stable housing; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Housing Division seeks to present summary data on the rental <br />housing market excerpted from the current Draft Housing Element for 2023-2031. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br /> <br />That the City Council receives the Annual Rent Review Ordinance and Tenant Relocation <br />Ordinance Program Evaluations and Annual Reports for July 2018 - June 2022. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember _______________ and passed and adopted this 5th day of <br />December 2022, by the following vote: <br /> <br />Members of the Council: <br /> <br />AYES: () <br /> <br />NOES: () <br /> <br />ABSENT: () <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> Kelly B.
