DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />3.A.22-266 LINKS Shuttle Updates <br />Mike Oliver delivered a presentation regarding updates to the LINKS Shuttle Program. <br />COMMITTEE REQUESTS/DIRECTION TO STAFF: <br />-Mayor Cutter requests that staff find out if funds that are used to pay AC Transit, for <br />the Free Student Transit Pass Program, can be allocated to the LINKS Shuttle <br />Program for students who use the shuttles. <br />-Councilmember Azevedo asked Mike Oliver to ensure the onboard air conditioning <br />is maintained by the providers. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS: <br />Public comments made by Juan Gonzalez. <br />3.B. 22-267 Manor Boulevard Parking Restrictions Survey <br />Sheila Marquises and Nicole Castelino presented an update of Manor Boulevard. <br />COMMITTEE REQUESTS/DIRECTION TO STAFF: <br />-Mayor Cutter would like to discuss options of street sweepers accessing bike <br />lanes and a more aggressive survey approach to get public feedback. Additionally, <br />she’d like to discuss future design plans to consider moving motor traffic to one side <br />of the road, protected bike lanes on the other side and upgrading residential <br />sidewalks. <br />-Councilmember Azevedo recommends getting more public input prior to removing <br />parking and future designs to consider adding protected bike lanes. Additionally, <br />he’d like to discuss no-parking signs for street sweeping days to accommodate a <br />cleaner community overall. <br />-Councilmember Cox would like to discuss street striping benefits in future design <br />planning. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS: <br />Page 2 City of San Leandro Printed on 12/14/2022
