DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />3.A.22-374 Crosstown Class IV Corridor Project Updates <br />Carrie Modi, Transportation Practice Lead from Fehr & Peers delivered a presentation on <br />Crosstown Class IV Corridor study. <br />COMMITTEE REQUESTS/DIRECTION TO STAFF: <br />-Mayor Cutter recommended including bikeway designs near schools to include <br />designated entrance and exit areas, to get around pedestrian traffic. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS: <br />There were no public comments. <br />3.B. 22-375 EBCE Critical Municipal Facilities Program <br />Feliz Ventura, Resilience Program Manager for East Bay Community Energy delivered a <br />presentation on the Critical Municipal Facilities Program. <br />COMMITTEE REQUESTS/DIRECTION TO STAFF: <br />-Mayor Cutter would like the possible participating buildings to be presented on a <br />map. Additionally, she wants to coordinate a joint school district meeting to discuss <br />this program, and participation of school district buildings that are used for <br />emergencies (i.e., shelter-in-place buildings, etc.). She’d also like to discuss the <br />inclusion of church buildings that are used for warming shelters. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS: <br />-Public comments made by Sarah Bailey. <br />3.C.22-376 Staff Project Updates <br />Nick Thom and Austine Osakwe delivered a presentation on project updates. <br />COMMITTEE REQUESTS/DIRECTION TO STAFF: <br />-Councilmember Cox wants Austine Osakwe to inquire if the Pedestrian Scramble <br />system can be turned off during the summer months, when pedestrian traffic isn’t <br />high, for the E. 14th St. (SR 185) / Joaquin Ave Traffic Signal Improvements project. <br />Page 2 City of San Leandro Printed on 12/14/2022
